It's Finalized!!

I'm so excited! Will and I are going up north next weekend!! He has Friday off, and since I'm getting 0 hours at work, it came together perfectly. He asked me if I wanted to do something special, and since his parents have a weekend get-a-way home in the U.P. (literally the U.P....for those of you who insist on saying you're going up north and you're not actually going past the bridge...that is a bit of a pet peeve of mine) that was immediately one of the options. He's asked me before to go up with them, and I've wanted to, but have never had the time off. The second option was going to Chicago to stay with some of his friends. I LOVE Chicago, but I knew if I went I'd want to see a play, and do a lot of other things that we haven't really planned for. It's a bit too spur of the moment for that, so we decided upon the U.P. This is our first vacation away together, and I'm very excited about it. Also, to have the whole weekend to ourselves and not have to worry about outside annoyances (ie. my dog...thanks to my amazing parents for agreeing to watch him!!) and things that get in the way. On top of all this, it's the first real vacation I've had in FOREVER. I know I went to VA (my favorite place in the world) in November, but that was for family stuff. I definitely didn't have any time to relax, or see my friends that were there. The last real vacation I had was in North Carolina. I need this. We'll be gone Thursday-Sunday, and I plan on reading a crapload of books, drinking copious amounts of alcohol, and relaxing with a really amazing guy. He's so sweet to want to do it, and especially since it was 100% his idea.

I'm truly happy right now. Things do need to come together soon, however, or else I'll be the old lady who lived in her shoe (because even though I'm poor, I have some amazing shoes). I'm not worried though. I know that things will come together shortly. They have to.

Time to go get ready for dinner with my lovelies at O.G.
