So I really have no idea where the week has gone? This is the biggest problem with having no job, and only having one class. Time disappears, and I end up having nothing to show for it. Today I was somewhat productive...and by this I mean I actually went out and about during the DAY, and ran errands. The majority of them involved spending far more money than I wanted to, but then that was followed up by having a nice catch-up dinner with my friend Brandon. I haven't seen him in forever, and it was really nice to pick his brain about substitute teaching. As much as I'm not looking forward to a job that begins at 7:45 am....I'm in serious need of money. My savings is diminishing very quickly, and if I don't get a paycheck soon I'm not quite sure what I'll do. It's unfortunate really...I have a wish list of things I want to buy, but at the moment I need to be concerned with the necessities, like rent, electricity and water.... Sigh. Oh well. My life could be a lot worse. Yesterday a family that lives a few houses down from my parents lost their house to a fire. It happened around 5:30 am, and they were just lucky to get out with their dog. The house burned all the way down, and they lost literally everything. There was no pond or water source around, so they only had what little water was on the truck. The lack of fire hydrants is just another reason why I refuse to ever move back to the country...but seriously. I can't imagine having every one of my sentimental items gone. Most things we own are just "things", but there are other mementos that mean quite a bit more. The daughter was away at college, and I can't even imagine getting that phone call. There was probably so much stuff she didn't trust taking to her dorm room, and now it's gone forever. It really saddens me...
Life is seriously a bitch sometimes.
I think I'm ready for one of my notorious cleaning rampages... More later.
Happy 6th Birthday Jovie!
